The right order
A proven order is: hero, back view, cropped, detail, packshot, mood. More important than the exact order is keeping it the same for all items. Customers quickly learn where to find each image.
On-model or ghost mannequin as the hero?
On-model images show fit and styling, ghost mannequin looks calmer on category pages. Some shops show the ghost mannequin image in the category and reveal the on-model image on hover. What matters is choosing one variant and sticking to it.
